This Week's Mudra
A gesture to keep close this week. Return to it on the mat, at your desk, or waiting in line.
🤲Gesture of knowledge
Gyan Mudra
ज्ञान मुद्रा
How to hold it
- 1.Touch the tip of the index finger to the tip of the thumb.
- 2.Let the other three fingers extend, soft and unforced.
- 3.Rest the hands on the knees, palms up for receiving, down for grounding.
Why it helps
Gyan mudra is the classic gesture of meditation — quietly associated with focus, calm, and a settled mind. It's a small anchor for the attention: whenever you notice the thumb and finger touching, you're back in the present.
Hold for 5–15 minutes during seated breathing or meditation.
